Congratulations to Ian Henry, who is now a fully qualified PGA professional. Ian graduated at Birmingham University after studying for three years, majoring in Sports Science, Coaching, Equipment Technology, and Business Management. Ian, who is 24, has been at Boughton Park for five years and becomes the club’s second professional.
Ian rounded off a successful week by lifting the Derek Greey Cup. The trophy, a Winter Alliance pro-am competition, was played over eight venues, including The Worcestershire, Redditch, and Stourbridge. Henry took eight different teams of four to the courses and lifted the Cup for the first time and also became the first professional from Boughton Park to win the trophy.
