Guidelines for the new 2 day medal format. The Competitions Committee have decided to run the March medal over TWO days, hoping to relieve the pressure from the Saturday starting sheet, caused by reduced daylight hours.
Therefore the March medal will be played on Friday March 5th and Saturday March 6th. It is important that normal Friday friendly matches show understanding and patience to members who wish to play in the medal on the Friday. They should adhere to the following rules, so hopefully the experiment will be a success. - Members may play on either day but not both.
- Participants in the Friday medal can play as a 2 ball or a 3 ball
- Members playing in the Friday medal can turn up, book in at the Pro shop and play. They must follow the starting board for the correct starting tee.
In accordance with EGU rules there will be a different CSS for each day, for the purpose of handicap adjustment. The medal order will be based on Nett score against the card (i.e. no adjustment for CSS) The normal start sheet for Saturday March 6th, will be posted on Friday February 26th at 6pm The Competitions committee emphasize that this is a trial and would greatly appreciate the co-operation of all members.
