Order of Merit
This year's order of merit went right to the wire and was finally sorted out on the last day of the season. The winner was Will Burgess, Jordan Wilson in the runners-up spot and Jordan Hick in third place. It was young Hick’s last medal competition with the club as his family are emigrating to Australia. He was presented with a gift from the Junior section members.

Josh & Aaron Make History

Will he or won't he following his September medal win

Will Burgess won his first junior medal with a nett 62 four shots ahead of Ben Foster nett 66 followed in third spot by Josh Beale nett 67, the lowest gross score was recorded by Oliver Farrell with a level par 70. Following his win Will has now shot up to 5th place within the race for the 2011 Order of Merit only 4pts behind the leader.

Six Juniors vying for Order of Merit Trophy

Only 6 points separate first and sixth place in the race for the 2011 Order of Merit title, with 1 competition remaining anyone of the 6 players can win. Jordan Wilson still leads the pack on 30pts with Chris Colenso, Jordan Hick and Josh Beale all on 28 followed by Will Burgess on 26 and last years winner - determined to make it a double win - Dan Adams on 24.

Jordan Lifts Championship Trophy

The Junior Club Championship was played for the very first time on Sunday the 11th of September, the Trophy was kindly donated by Roger King , in very windy conditions Jordan Hick shot a magnificent 74 nett 67 to win by 1 shot from Jason Farr nett 68, which included a 10 on the 9th hole, followed in 3rd spot by Sarah Kaced 69.

Junior Team just fail to reach regional final

In another closely fought encounter against Stourbridge GC our Junior Team lost 2 1/2 - 1 1/2 the match swung to and fro, at one stage we were down in 3 of the games then recovered to lead by 2 1/2 the whole match turning around in their favour on holes 17 and 18. This was our final zone match and the defeat means we were runners up losing out by 1 point to Gaudet Luce GC.

Although disappointing it was our best performance for a number of years so well done everyone.

First timer wins Junior medal

James Inglis who only became a member of the club in July started with a bang in his very first competition, playing off a H/C of 22 shot a net 59 to win the August medal, winning by 6 shots from Dan Adams who registered a net 65 with Jordan Wilson a close third with a net 66. James also recorded the lowest gross of 81.

Aaron Bryan Keeps Family Tradition

In the Junior Medal, nine-year-old Aaron Bryan, playing off a handicap of 44 and also playing in his first medal, finished in top spot thanks to a score of 103-44-59. Aaron, whose brother Josh is one of the promising crop of juniors at Boughton Park, just pipped Benjamin Blackmore [96-36-60]. Benjamin finished three shots ahead of Josh Beale [86-23-63] and Christopher Colenso [79-16-63]. Best gross score of the day was recorded by James Currie [73-4-69].

Alan Hempson Trophy

Dan returns with sparkling performance

Last years Order of merit winner Dan Adams who has been coming to terms with his reduced handicap , now playing off 19 , won the Alan Hempson trophy with 42 pts even more remarkable as this was achieved with an allowance of only 3/4 of normal H/C, Dan's gross score was 78. Runner up was James Currie also 42 pts , lost on count back, followed in third place by Solomon Drew with 38 pts.

Chris chalks up his second Richard Young Trophy success

After winning the Richard Young Trophy in it's inaugural year, Chris repeated his success this year by pipping Jordan Wilson on a last 6 hole countback , both players registering 41 points with Sam Jones a close third with 40. other notable scores were James Bennett and Will Burgess with 39 points given the blustery conditions the performance of all 20 participating players was terrific given a large number exceeded 30 points.
