A Welcome from Club Captain John Day It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Worcester Golf & Country Club web site.
Boughton Park and the surrounding facilities provide an area of scenic beauty with numerous varieties of trees. There are English oaks that are several centuries old, streams and lakes with swans and ducks wandering cautiously about, with wonderful views of the nearby Malvern Hills. The course was designed by Dr. Alister Mackenzie, in 1927, who subsequently designed the Augusta, Masters Course in the USA. A park land course with narrow approaches to the greens, and a good test of golf accuracy, that measures 6,251 yards. Surrounded by glorious scenery, close to the River Severn and Worcester City centre. Boughton Park was formerly the home of a number of Mayors of Worcester City in the 18th. and 19th. centuries. In addition to the golf course in 1929 a tennis section was formed and the name changed to Worcester Golf and Country Club later to include squash. We have four all weather courts and three grass courts, and two indoor squash courts. Our Clubhouse is a grade II listed building with several lounges, with casual and lounge bars, and excellent catering and dining facilities. We welcome visitors and hope you will enjoy our full hospitality and amenities.
